If you're looking for a mountain hut for New Year's Eve, at Beim Oswald you'll find something close: an old mountain farmhouse with wood-panelled living room and tiled stove, plus your own kitchen, your own bathroom and fibre-optic internet. Cars stay at the edge of the village.
There's no New Year's programme. Sauna in the afternoon, cooking in the evening, out the door at midnight. On New Year's Day you walk about five minutes to the Brunnachbahn, or you sleep in.

The St. Oswald side of the ski area has been open since 4 December; over New Year the lifts run from 9 am to 4 pm.
Booking and cancelling
Over Christmas and New Year you book the “Weihnachten & Silvester” rate. Its terms: free cancellation up to 60 days before arrival, 50% from 59 days before. You pay a 30 % deposit when you book.

No, Beim Oswald has no restaurant and no programme. You celebrate in your apartment or in the whole house.
Quieter than in town, because there's no traffic in the village. But we can't switch off fireworks down in the valley.

Yes, meals are not included. Every apartment has a kitchen with dishwasher, oven, fridge with freezer compartment and coffee machine. Fresh bread, cheese and eggs are at the Greisslerei, the little village shop right opposite at the entrance to Kirchleitn, open daily 8 am to 10 pm.
